Varsch sidesteps Trump query

A report stated that the Federal Reserve Chairman, Kevin Warsh, avoided commenting on former President Donald Trump's message, which called for lowering interest rates amid ongoing high inflation that has shown no significant improvement. Warsh also confirmed that the bank raised interest rates for the first time since 2023, by a quarter of a percentage point, bringing the range to between 3.75% and 4%. This move aims to curb the severe inflation resulting from the Iranian conflict.
