Riham Calls Nargis Tough
Reham Abdel Ghafour said that Nargis was one of the most challenging roles she had played because of the complex emotions it demanded. She said she was drawn to the role from the moment she read the script, despite worrying that the project might never be completed. The story, she explained, was inspired by a real incident, and she tried to understand Nargis as a person hardened by circumstances and by social pressures surrounding her inability to have children—pressures that led her to abduct children and conceal the truth. She said she was proud of the role’s popularity and of the award she received for it.
