Ashraf Zaki reacts to Youssef Eid tribute
The article discusses the response of artist Ashraf Zaki, Chairman of the Acting Professions Syndicate, to his coming honor at the Syndicate's Festival of Acting Professions, just days after a fiery message from the son of the late artist Youssef Eid. In the message, his son expressed his dissatisfaction with the lack of recognition for his father, who passed away in 2014. Zaki indicated that the festival, scheduled to begin on October 24, is dedicated to celebrating actors who contributed to creating joy in an understated way, among whom Youssef Eid is included. He also clarified that the festival will also honor deceased artists, emphasizing that artistic heroism is measured by the impact left on the audience, not by the number of roles or the fame on posters. It is noted that Youssef Eid’s son expressed his disappointment at not being recognized since his father's passing, affirming his deep respect for his father and his humanitarian and artistic contributions.
