Miley Cyrus’ Album Falls to 157 on Billboard 200
Miley Cyrus's new album, "Bass Persuades," led to a sharp decline on the Billboard 200 chart, dropping from number one to 157 in just one week after debuting at the top. This fall is one of the fastest declines recorded for albums, comparable to what happened to Bon Jovi's album in 2018. This album marks Miley Cyrus's first chart-topping success since the release of "Bangerz" in 2013, with a solid start of 61,000 units sold. Meanwhile, the lead single "Bass Persuades" performed positively, reaching number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100, boosted by increased exposure through its music video. The album's rapid decline raises questions about its ability to maintain a steady position on the chart, especially as her previous release, "Something Beautiful," experienced a similar fade. Overall, the music market remains challenged by declining sales of some recent albums.
