KAUST creates AI for mineral exploration
Development of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) as a model using artificial intelligence to assist mineral exploration in the Kingdom. The aim of the model is to reduce uncertainty and strengthen understanding of geological formations beneath the surface of the Arab Shield, which is rich in minerals, in collaboration with geophysical imaging experts. It includes practical applications with Ma’aden company over a period of 30 months.
