Clark alleges ESPN ploy

Former ESPN analyst Ryan Clark alleged that the network leaked news of his firing to OutKick and featured Sophie Cunningham’s comments about transgender athletes to signal a change in its brand. The article disputes those claims, saying Cunningham’s profile was conducted in February and held until July for the WNBA season, while OutKick learned of the planned layoffs from independent sources. Its author argues Clark was fired because his conduct created problems and he did not bring enough value to the network.
