Rome Murder Conviction
A Rome court convicted American filmmaker Rexal Ford, also known by several aliases, of killing his partner, Anastasia Trofimova, and their 11-month-old daughter, whose bodies were found in Villa Doria Pamphili park. He was sentenced to life in prison with three years of solitary confinement; Ford has denied involvement, and his lawyer said the verdict would be appealed. The case also drew scrutiny over Ford’s multiple identities and a nearly $1 million Italian film grant awarded for a project prosecutors said was fake.
