3 Executions on Same Day
Jeffrey Weisheit, 50, was executed by lethal injection at Indiana State Prison in Michigan City early Thursday and was pronounced dead at 12:45 a.m. He had admitted killing his girlfriend’s two children, ages 8 and 5, by setting fire to her home near Evansville in 2010; Indiana’s execution was the first of three scheduled in the United States that day.
