US Sets Three Executions

Indiana executed 50-year-old Jeffrey Weisheit by lethal injection early Thursday for setting a 2010 fire that killed his girlfriend’s two children. Executions of Jesse Guardado in Florida and Michael Taylor in Alabama were scheduled later that day, which would make it the second time in 2026 that three people were executed on the same day. Florida’s execution would bring its 2026 total to 19, matching the state record set last year.
