Leon Black sues Garcia
Billionaire Leon Black filed a defamation lawsuit Wednesday in federal court in New York against Rep. Robert Garcia over comments linking him to Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes. Black says the statements were false and malicious, and is seeking $7.25 million in compensatory and punitive damages. Black has denied knowing about Epstein’s sex-trafficking network; Garcia’s office did not immediately comment.
