Mass General Brigham cuts include Home Hospital
Mass General Brigham is implementing cost-cutting measures, including significant reductions to its Home Hospital program, which provides hospital-level care at home. The program will be scaled back from treating 70 patients to only 30, with operations at some locations paused indefinitely, to improve financial sustainability. These changes aim to address the hospital system's small operating margin and ensure long-term care capacity, amid broader financial challenges and upcoming funding pressures.
