Airbnb hosts restrictively view new rules
Airbnb has implemented new house rules effective November 20 to limit tasks requiring significant effort by guests, such as washing dishes or changing linens. The changes aim to clarify expectations and prevent excessive chores, but many hosts oppose the restrictions, fearing they limit their ability to set safety and property protection rules. Some hosts also worry about losing legal protections and potential revenue impacts, leading to frustration within the hosting community.
