Retired Woking decorator's Pokémon cards fetch £1.5m
A retired decorator from Woking sold a collection of Pokémon cards at auction for £1.56 million, making it the UK's most valuable trading cards sale and potentially a European record. The collection, found in his attic after 15 years, included 42 mint condition sets, with the top lot—an extensive Legendary Collection Master Set—selling for £100,000. The auction attracted global bidders, and the sale surpassed previous records set by other major auctions.
