FCC chief warns on questionable polls
The article reports that FCC chairman Brendan Carr has warned local broadcasters about potential fake polls influencing voters, amid widespread reports showing low approval ratings for Donald Trump and increased scrutiny of polling integrity. Carr's comments, made without specifying which polls he considered fictitious, drew criticism from Democratic FCC commissioners and advocacy groups, who argued that broadcasters have First Amendment rights to report publicly available polling data. The timing coincides with sharp political debate over poll accuracy ahead of upcoming midterm elections.
