Hopkinton assisted living patients relocated
After the death of an 86-year-old resident found unresponsive in a hot room with a thermostat reading 99 degrees, officials transferred 36 residents from a Hopkinton assisted living facility. Heat-related causes are suspected, and an ongoing audit is examining the facility’s HVAC system and safety procedures. The facility has faced past health complaints, including infestations and water issues.
