Jane Doe felt dismissed by Cornell leaders
A former Cornell student accused of gang rape in 2024 expressed feeling unsupported and disbelieved by university officials in an October 14 letter to the faculty senate. The student, known as Jane Doe, reported that Cornell President Michael Kotlikoff made dismissive comments about her case, which has heightened scrutiny of his leadership. The faculty senate is considering a vote of no-confidence amid debates over the handling of the case.
