Shakahola deaths: Mackenzie's son reports sibling starvation before Kenya case
The son of Kenyan cult leader Paul Mackenzie, convicted of murdering 191 people through starvation, reports that some of his younger siblings are still being forced to fast. He identified ongoing abuse, including forced fasting and denial of food, leading to police rescue efforts. Mackenzie's followers believed he was "Jesus's mouthpiece" and were ordered to starve themselves and their children to meet Jesus, with some burial practices described as "weddings" with Jesus. Mackenzie faces further charges and is scheduled for sentencing, with court proceedings exposing the cult’s deadly teachings.
