Lakers release Dalton Knecht before season
The Los Angeles Lakers have waived forward Dalton Knecht to comply with the NBA's roster limit before the season begins. Knecht, drafted 17th overall in 2024, saw his role diminish after a promising rookie season and limited preseason playing time. The team’s roster overhaul and recent trades contributed to his removal, with the Lakers now focusing on other players as they prepare for their season opener.
