Trump comments on French riots and immigration
President Trump commented on ongoing protests in France, claiming they are caused by immigrants and left-wing politicians, and warned that Europe risks becoming a Muslim city if borders remain open. French officials disagreed, attributing the protests to issues of affordability and energy prices unrelated to immigration, which they connect to broader geopolitical factors. The protests began as demonstrations for better education funding and cost-of-living concerns, involving various groups, with violence and arson occurring amid the unrest.
