Ex-Biden aide predicts socialist sidelining in 2028
A former Biden White House aide predicts that the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) will be sidelined before the 2028 presidential election, despite recent primary victories by socialist-backed candidates. She argues these wins do not necessarily reflect broader national support for socialism, and attempts to distinguish between primary successes and mainstream electoral influence. Some Republicans dismiss the possibility of Democrats distancing themselves from socialism, while Democratic strategists and organizations like Third Way view the DSA's growing influence as a threat to the party's moderate base.
