NASA rover marks milestone

NASA’s Perseverance Mars rover set a world record by driving the farthest distance on another planet, surpassing the previous record held by Opportunity. On October 11, it traveled 28.10 miles while exploring ancient Martian terrain, aiming to investigate traces of old hydrothermal systems. The rover's continued mobility, driven largely by autonomous navigation, exceeds initial mission expectations and is expected to continue for years.
