Oregon shooter’s tactics and motive
An Oregon teenager attempted to carry out a school shooting targeting a special-needs classroom by first throwing a shotgun over a fence and trying to enter the school. He was thwarted by a father on the scene who used a concealed weapon to stop him. The shooter then broke into the school and opened fire, killing three students and a teacher, and injuring two others before being shot and killed by the father. The weapon was purchased legally by the shooter’s mother, who expressed remorse after the incident.
