NCAA sues Gov DeWine over eligibility rule
The NCAA filed a federal lawsuit against Ohio Governor Mike DeWine over his executive order granting a fifth year of eligibility to Class of 2022 student-athletes. The NCAA claims the order gives Ohio universities an unfair advantage and violates federal law, while DeWine's order aims to allow players to extend eligibility despite NCAA restrictions. The lawsuit seeks to declare the order invalid and prevent its enforcement.
