Two Cargo Ships Sunk in Hormuz as Iran Intensifies Attacks
Two cargo ships have sunk near the Strait of Hormuz after being struck by unknown projectiles, raising concerns over escalating attacks targeting shipping in the region. The Singapore-flagged GFS Pride sank after being hit, with all crew evacuated, while another vessel, Cape Dao, sank following a projectile strike. These incidents mark a significant escalation amid increased Iranian attacks aiming to control the vital waterway, which has led to a sharp decline in oil transit and rising global oil prices.
