Treasury unveils Trump dollar coin
The U.S. Treasury Department has encouraged Americans to collect and use newly issued President Donald Trump dollar coins at local banks next month, promoting a challenge via TikTok. The coins, commemorating the nation's 250th anniversary, are available for purchase from the U.S. Mint and can still be used as legal tender, although they are sold at a significant markup. Treasury officials suggest the coins will be accessible at certain banks, but specific details about distribution and availability at face value remain unclear.
