Oxford approves 1970s student block removal
The University of Oxford has approved plans to replace the 1970s-built graduate housing structure at 25 Wellington Square with a new 65,000-square-foot academic facility. The project, led by Oxford University Development, includes modern office and teaching spaces, refurbishment of Victorian terrace housing, and new retail space, aiming to enhance sustainability and support future university needs. The scheme also features landscape improvements to make Wellington Square a greener and more connected part of the city.
