Nidal Hasan and US online execution plans
The US Department of Defense plans to livestream the execution of convicted killer Nidal Hasan, the former US Army major responsible for the 2009 Fort Hood shooting, scheduled for December 3. If broadcasted, it would be the first live US execution and has faced criticism over legality, ethical concerns, and potential violations of international law. The planned execution follows recent issues with execution methods amid drug shortages, and officials confirm Hasan will be executed by firing squad.
