USS Lincoln crew greeted warmly after months at sea
The USS Abraham Lincoln returned to Naval Air Station North Island in California after a more than 10-month deployment, including 265 days at sea. Despite facing challenges such as food shortages, low morale, and mental health issues, the crew was greeted warmly by families and friends, with celebrations featuring music and festivities. The deployment drew scrutiny due to extended duration and sailor hardships, but the homecoming was marked by emotional reunions and pride.
