Largest wildlife crossing to open this winter
The Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing in Agoura Hills is nearing completion, aiming to open by December 2. The crossing, designed to connect the Santa Monica Mountains and Simi Hills, aims to improve genetic diversity and survival of mountain lions affected by inbreeding. Construction has faced delays due to weather and soil conditions, but the project remains a critical effort to support the threatened local leopard population.
