USS Lincoln back in San Diego after lengthy deployment
The USS Abraham Lincoln returned to San Diego after a 10-month deployment supporting operations related to Iran, during which the crew set a record of 265 consecutive days at sea without a port visit. The deployment involved extensive combat missions and enforcement of naval blockades, earning the crew a Presidential Unit Citation. Despite receiving commendations, reports emerged of deteriorating conditions aboard the ship and mental health struggles among sailors, raising concerns about the impact of prolonged deployment and ongoing conflict with Iran.
