Rubio declines to address Guilfoyle claims
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio declined to comment on allegations that U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle engaged in improper conduct, including allegedly asking a supporter to pay a $100,000 credit card bill in exchange for access to administration officials. Rubio addressed the issue while in Greece, stating he would not discuss the claims and praised his ambassador’s performance. Several congressional Democrats have called for an investigation into Guilfoyle’s conduct, which she has denied.
