Trump to award Clemens Medal of Freedom
President Donald Trump announced he would award baseball legend Roger Clemens the Medal of Freedom, citing his status as one of the greatest athletes despite steroid allegations that prevented his election to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Trump considered the Medal of Freedom a higher honor and expressed support for Clemens, who has long denied steroid use. The announcement coincided with Trump's efforts to advocate for other controversial baseball figures.
