Cam Talbot reconnects with family
Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Cam Talbot is awaiting approval for his new gear adorned with team colors and logos, with his debut possibly upcoming in early October. Having signed just before training camp, he is using outdated gear pending league authorization, which involves a lengthy approval process. Talbot’s career includes playing for nine NHL teams, tying him with a former goalie for a rare career statistic, and he has adapted to the league’s nomadic lifestyle with his family, who have lived in hotels while moving across the country. This season may mark his final opportunity to settle with one team, as he contemplates ending his career if he can secure a permanent position.
