Iranian director criticizes Hollywood's foreign portrayal
Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi criticized Hollywood’s portrayal of Iran and the U.S. at the Rio Film Festival, calling it a "lie" to claim America is a democracy. He condemned the film "Argo" for depicting Iran negatively and suggested Hollywood movies often portray Americans as heroic saviors, questioning why Americans see themselves as "up" and others as "down."
