Flydubai hijacker may face death penalty
A man accused of attempting a cockpit attack on a flydubai flight to Israel reportedly planned to crash the plane into Tel Aviv's Ben-Gurion Airport and had researched airlines flying there. The Omani national, who has been with flydubai for eight months, is suspected of aiming to carry out a violent attack, with investigators considering him a lone wolf. The incident ended with the plane landing in Saudi Arabia after passengers intervened, and the suspect faces potential the death penalty. Israeli, Emirati, and US investigators are currently questioning him.
