The Outsiders play at Hollywood Pantages
The Los Angeles premiere of "The Outsiders," a musical adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s novel and the 2024 Tony Award winner for best musical, is currently playing at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre. The show depicts the 1967 clash between Greasers and Socs in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with staging by Danya Taymor, a compelling indie folk-rock score, and energetic choreography. While performances are vocally impressive, some cast portrayals and character relationships are less cohesive, and certain scenes, including the gang fight, are notably striking.
