Flydubai hijacker posts violent social media messages
The flydubai co-pilot, Hamam al-Hammami, allegedly committed a terrorist attack on a flight en route to Tel Aviv, Israel, by stabbing the captain with a crash axe and attempting to hijack the plane. Prior to the incident, he had posted extremist, radicalized messages on social media expressing hatred for Jews and homosexuals and advocating violence against women. The attack was thwarted when passengers subdued him, and authorities have linked his actions to jihadist ideology.
