Trump pledges nearly $100 to 20M seniors
President Donald Trump announced plans to send nearly $100 to over 20 million seniors to help cover Medicare Part B premiums, though it is unclear whether the administration has the authority to do so. This move is part of his broader effort to attract support ahead of the midterm elections, including promises of a $5,000 "Trump dividend" if Republicans retain control of Congress. The checks are the latest in a series of promise-based measures, some of which have faced scrutiny and questions about their legality.
