Andrea Campbell reveals past abuse
Attorney General Andrea Campbell revealed she is a childhood sexual abuse survivor, though not of the church, during a news conference on a report uncovering nearly 1,000 children abused by over 270 Catholic clergy across three Massachusetts dioceses. The investigation reviewed over 300,000 pages and included interviews with survivors since 2019. Campbell emphasized that her personal experience has fueled her commitment to seeking justice and encouraged others to come forward with abuse allegations.
