Ford CEO warns on skilled workers amid young technicians' job confidence
Ford CEO Jim Farley emphasized the need for the U.S. to invest in skilled trades industries, warning the country is falling behind competitors like Germany, China, and South Korea. A report projects the U.S. will need to fill 1.7 million skilled trades jobs annually through 2035, but current training programs only produce 55 workers per 100 jobs. Young Americans view trades as secure and rewarding, with social media helping reshape perceptions of these careers.
