Resident Evil review: Cregger's impact
Filmmaker Zach Cregger, known for "Weapons" and "Barbarian," directs a reboot of the "Resident Evil" film franchise. The movie, set in Raccoon City, follows a medical courier who unknowingly delivers a virus that mutates humans into monsters, leading to a survival horror adventure. Cregger blends cinematic storytelling with video game elements, using first-person shots and gameplay mechanics to create an immersive experience. The film combines dark humor, graphic horror, and a protagonist's relatable struggles, resulting in a largely playful yet disturbing addition to the franchise.
