Iran: No Talks or Strait Reopening

Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary General Mohsen Rezaei affirmed that Tehran will not return to negotiations or open the Strait of Hormuz before implementing its seven conditions. He explained that Washington's commitment to its promises might pave the way for reopening the strait. He also stated that the strait is a crucial part of ensuring the implementation of the agreement, and that Iran is no longer interested in deals based solely on good intentions. On the other hand, the United States, led by Donald Trump, claimed to have militarily and financially defeated Iran, imposed a blockade on the Strait of Hormuz, and indicated readiness to take further actions in the future amid escalating tensions between the two countries.
