Iraqji: Iran-Russia ties at new high
Iran and Russia have moved to an unprecedented level of rapprochement, discussing enhanced cooperation in military, economic, and nuclear fields, as well as coordination on regional issues involving Lebanon, Palestine, Ukraine, and Yemen. These efforts come amidst Moscow's attempts to mediate in the Middle East war and the stalled negotiations between Washington and Tehran, with Russia seeking to prevent a widespread escalation in the region, according to official statements. The two sides also emphasized the importance of addressing the crisis resulting from the "illegal aggression" by the United States and Israel against Iran, amid close Russian-Iranian relations that are subject to broad international sanctions.
