Carrefour plans to buy Codifrance
French Carrefour announced its agreement to acquire the food distribution company "Codevance" from the Belgian company Colruyt for 152 million euros (170 million dollars), aiming to strengthen its position in the small retail store sector and expand its support for independent retailers. The company expects to complete the deal during the first half of 2027. Carrefour will benefit from Codevance’s customer base and logistical expertise, noting that the company’s sales reached 307 million euros for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. This acquisition aligns with Carrefour’s 2030 strategy to increase its presence in the retail market.
