Washington delays Patriot missile delivery to Ukraine

The Washington Post reported that the U.S. administration is delaying the delivery of Patriot missiles to Ukraine amid tensions between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The delay is due to the U.S. Department of Defense not completing approval procedures for the transfer, even though some of the missiles are being moved from allied countries to Ukraine. This comes amid Trump’s criticisms of Zelensky and his accusations that Kyiv has not reached a settlement to end the war with Russia, while Ukrainian officials point to a shortage of interceptor missiles in their stockpile.
