China Imposes Stricter Drone Export Rules

China imposed new restrictions on the export of drones and related equipment starting November 18, in order to prevent their use for non-peaceful purposes and to comply with non-proliferation commitments. The new regulations include requiring licenses for the export of certain engines, technologies, and investments, with penalties for violators. This move comes amid growing use of drones in international conflicts, especially in Ukraine and the Middle East, with Beijing emphasizing that the equipment has dual civilian and military applications.
