Portuguese Football Federation suspends Ronaldo for 30 days

The Portuguese Football Federation has announced a 30-day suspension and a fine of 255 euros for Portugal's star player and Al-Nassr Saudi club captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, after he left the national team camp without justification during the recent international break. The incident occurred in Copenhagen following a disagreement with the coach over his role in the lineup, as Ronaldo left the camp before the Denmark match despite undergoing warm-up exercises, which angered both the coaching staff and fans. Ronaldo acknowledged his mistake and expressed his willingness to accept the penalty, reaffirming his desire to continue representing his country. It is expected that he will rejoin the national team during the upcoming international break in November after spending 19 days away. Statements indicate that the federation and technical staff are reviewing the decision, and Ronaldo remains a viable option for the team if he continues to be able to play.
