Aoun: Israel cannot keep Lebanon off their land
The Lebanese President, Joseph Aoun, reaffirmed Lebanon's commitment to pursuing a diplomatic solution in response to the daily Israeli violations in the south. He warned that continued violations will only strengthen the Lebanese people's resolve to defend their land and rights. He emphasized that the cost of diplomatic solutions is far less than that of devastating war, expressing Lebanon's desire for UNIFIL forces to remain, and calling for Israel to withdraw from occupied territories and for the Lebanese army to expand its presence to reinforce stability. He also stressed that negotiations serve as an alternative to war and require the united efforts of all parties.
