Video – How Did Hezbollah Ties Reach Brazil
The investigation and a series of reports shed light on a network linked to "Hezbollah" that targets Brazil. This network relies on criminal activities, tobacco shops, and financial intermediaries to transfer and launder money across borders. The report indicates that Mohammad Khair Abd Al-Majeed, known as "Habibi," recruited at least five Brazilians to travel to Beirut for secret training and to carry out special operations, reflecting the complexity of the network and the challenges faced by authorities in uncovering and dismantling it. The research describes an international network extending into Asia and Africa, utilizing trade of legitimate goods and markets to finance its operations. There are also references to American and Israeli efforts to track and constrain these networks, which are characterized by their complexity and reliance on indirect funding and money laundering activities within security and intelligence operations tied to "Hezbollah" and Iran.
