Suárez ties Gerrard's Liverpool record
Louis Koeman scored a goal and provided an assist in Liverpool's match against Austria LASK in the Champions League, becoming the second player aged 21 or younger to achieve this feat with the team in the competition after Steven Gerrard 25 years ago. His goal contributed to the team's 6-3 victory, showcasing his brilliance at a young age; he scored following a pass from Jeremy Frimpong, marking an achievement not seen since Gerrard's era. Additionally, the starting lineup for the match was one of the youngest in the club's Champions League history, with an average age of 24 years and 186 days, and saw the first official goals for Arrauho and Barkola with Liverpool.
